Tatters of the King Chapter 2 NPC WoD Conversion

Welcome to my conversions for the Tatters of the King NPCs from BRP to World of Darkness.  You can find other articles over here.  This article contains conversions for Chapter 2 of that fun-filled campaign.  Not every NPC has its statistics converted because, let's face it, you should be able to ad hoc most of them.  Does it really matter precisely what stats Dr. Trollope has, for instance?  Read his entries in the Tatters of the King campaign book and roleplay him accordingly.  As a rule of thumb, assign one dice for every 10% in a skill the NPC has.  It's a rough way to do it but its unlikely you'll need enough rolls from those NPCs that the players would notice any discrepancies.  The NPCs listed below are the ones you may well need to keep around or use to deal with combat.  Oh, remember, there may well be spoilers below.

Michael Coombs


I chose to make Michael Coombs a supernatural because a single human isn't much of a threat to several World of Darkness human party members, let alone against a vampire and his buddies.  My justification is that Aldebaran has led to some crazy dreams for a number of sensitive people and who can claim that Changelings don't count as sensitive?  He doesn't know the truth of the Hastur Mythos as I have created it and so he's unaware that the King in Yellow is a True Fae or that Hastur is connected to Arcadia.

He tends to strengthen the Mask if he believes he's up against supernaturals, just in case.  Otherwise he appears much as he does in the book but the features on his face seem to be more pronounced by shadows that are darker on him than they would be on anyone else.  He is a nominal Autumn Court member and generally avoids other Changelings as he has no interest in dealing with them.  His fellow cultists are unaware of his true nature and he sees no reason to reveal himself to them.
